Join Us for Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year

#GivingTuesday and the holiday season are an important time of year for every nonprofit. This year, we’re making it really easy for you to dig in and help us raise the money we need to Do What We Do.

We’re part of the CrowdRise Giving Tower Holiday Challenge, which is an innovative and fun way to raise money on #GivingTuesday and throughout the holiday season. To make it work WE NEED YOUR HELP as fundraisers and donors.

Because you are here, we know how valuable it is to have this community to support you in your pain. We’re asking you, in preparation for the holiday season, to join our team and become a fundraiser. It takes less than five minutes to set up as a fundraiser. All you have to do is Go Here and click ‘Fundraise for This Campaign.’

Then on November 22nd, when the Challenge starts, we will reach out to ask for your support in the form of donations to support the NFA. If you can send a few emails and ask a few friends, we’ll ask you to help spread the word to your network. Your help will be crucial to raising money for our cause this holiday season as well as giving us a chance to win the $25,000 Giving Tower grand prize.

About Us and What We Do with Your Donations

nfalogo-whiteFor 20 years, the NFA’s mission has been to develop and execute programs dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by fibromyalgia. We focus on patient support and education, awareness outreach, healthcare provider education, patient advocacy and the facilitation of scientific research. The NFA is the oldest, most reputable fibromyalgia nonprofit in the United States and we support over 250,000 members worldwide.

Fibromyalgia is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that affects people (men, women and children) physically, mentally and socially. It is characterized by chronic widespread pain, multiple tender points, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbances, fatigue and often psychological distress. Fibromyalgia is one of the most common chronic pain conditions that affects an estimated 10 million people in the U.S. and an estimated 3-6% of the world population.

We have been so focused on helping our community that we need to get up to date with the technological times and expand the valuable information on our website. Our goal is to invest our Giving Tuesday donations into how we share this life-saving information with the FM community. We will be able to continue to update our website with new articles about current research and topics of importance to the FM community, we will expand our audience by adding our first articles and information in Spanish, and we will continue to support research studies around the world.

With your help we will continue to serve the FM community as we have for nearly 20 years. We need your help to change the lives of those with FM. We won’t stop until no one lives with this pain.

Won’t you help us to help those in pain with a click of the donate button today?
