Feast, Friendship & Fibro Awareness Event Extended through September (Pain Awareness Month)
In support of the FM community, the National Fibromyalgia Association (NFA) is encouraging you to make a difference and take part in this movement to spread awareness and help make fibromyalgia visible by hosting a social gathering between now and the end of September (Pain Awareness Month). Please support our very first Feast, Friendship & Fibro awareness event and host your own fundraising get-together.
The NFA’s Feast, Friendship & Fibro event is to commemorate National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day (May 12th) and will continue through Pain Awareness Month (September) by promoting education and understanding of this life-altering condition. Please invite your friends to your home for a fundraising dinner, gather at your favorite restaurant, meet at the park for a picnic, or have a cocktail party. Whatever you choose, your efforts will help to make fibromyalgia visible and more research possible.
If you love cooking, entertaining your friends, and supporting a worthy cause, then this event is worth your time and energy.
Simply invite your friends, colleagues and family to your gathering and ask them to make a contribution—either through the NFA’s online fundraising link or right there at your party. Make sure you take lots pictures and/or video to share with the FM community on the NFA’s social media pages.
Your Feast Friendship & Fibro event will help the NFA continue to support the FM community through social media as we reach individuals in need of new resources and hope.
Stay tuned and don’t miss out on more information, such as fibromyalgia-friendly and easy to cook recipes, myths and facts about fibromyalgia, and additional resources to help you answer your guests’ questions during your event.
