The Couples Experience of Having FM

Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University are conducting a study on The Couples Experience of Having FM. The study, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, focuses specifically on minorities with fibromyalgia who are married or living with their partner in a long-term relationship.

To participate, you or your spouse must:

  1. Be a minority (African American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian/Pacific Islander) with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia
  2. Be married or living with your partner (Note: Your partner does not need a diagnosis of FM, nor does he/she have to be a minority)
  3. Be willing to complete two or three sets of questionnaires by mail, without comparing answers with each other
  4. Live in the United States
  5. Have your healthcare provider respond to a letter confirming you or your spouse has fibromyalgia.
