Fibromyalgia Awareness Day Update
NFA Activities
Join the staff of the National Fibromyalgia Association for its Walk of FAME on Saturday, May 9 in Anaheim, beginning at 4 p.m. Walkers will meet at the NFA’s headquarters (2121 S. Towne Centre Place, Anaheim, Calif. 92806), then walk along Orangewood Avenue, directly across from Angel Stadium, where baseball fans will gather to watch the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim take on the Kansas City Royals. Walkers can choose to stay on Orangewood or head to the popular nearby outdoor shopping venue, The Block at Orange. To receive a Walk of FAME T-shirt, Awareness Day bracelet and other materials, click here and register under Team Angel Stadium.
Following the walk, everyone is invited to join NFA staff at California State University, Fullerton for “An Evening to Remember, Embrace & Celebrate.” (click here for details about this free event.)
On May 12, National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, NFA staff will walk around the perimeter of the California State Capitol, beginning at 6 p.m. To receive a Walk of FAME T-shirt, Awareness Day bracelet and other materials, click here and register under Team California Capitol. Following the walk, NFA President and Founder Lynne Matallana will give a brief presentation. The Lights of Hope Candlelight Observance will take place on the front steps of the Capitol around 8 p.m.
