Hi Kathleen,
It sure does for me. It’s getting worse the older I get. If I do something physical like hammering or using tools, my hands are swollen, stiff and painful the next morning. They swelling goes away about midday. The pain and stiffness take a while to work out.

You might want to get tested for Carpal Tunnel.  I have it in both my wrists and it was hard to tell it wasn’t fibro but after tests they said I had Carpal Tunnel too.  Also neck problems can cause the same kind of pains as Carpal Tunnel and fibro. Might want to get an MRI of your neck to be sure there is nothing wrong there. But, 4 people including myself, had neck operation that started us all on the fibro road. And there are a few doctors out there that believe fibro is caused by neck nerve problems. I will never recommend to anyone any kind of neck operation for that reason. Ask people when their fibro started and most will point to something on there neck gone wrong.
